AFF Goes to the Movies, Again!

Join us for a special Super Mario Galaxy movie screening.  This event is open to friends and family of AFF members.

Our sensory-friendly screening features lower volume and softer lighting to create a comfortable experience for all kids. Children are encouraged to move around freely—there’s no pressure to remain seated throughout the movie.

To support skill-building, discounted concessions will be available for families to practice waiting in line, ordering, and making payments in a low-stress setting.

We’ll provide visual supports to help kiddos understand what to expect during the event, alongside social stories shared ahead of time so parents can prepare their children for the movie experience.

Movement regulation tools such as tents, tunnels, balance beams, and various fidgets will be available throughout the space to help children stay calm and engaged.

Come enjoy the excitement of Super Mario Galaxy Movie in a fun, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere designed especially for our AFF families!

Here is a social story to help front-load your kiddo before the movie experience

AFF Moms Box It Out!

Moms Only: Rumble Boxing + Brunch

Moms, this one’s just for you. 💙

Join us for a Saturday morning sweat session at Rumble Boxing (Mount Pleasant), followed by a casual brunch at Steamworks Mount Pleasant. This is a free AFF community event focused on moving your body, releasing some stress, and connecting with other moms who get it — no caregiving roles, no multitasking, just time for yourself.

No boxing experience is needed. Come as you are, go at your own pace, and do what feels right for your body. After class, we’ll head to Steamworks Mount Pleasant to relax, refuel, and connect over brunch (brunch is self-paid).

Glove rentals will be provided for free (regularly $4).
Please note: boxing hand wraps are required for safety. Participants will need to bring their own wraps or purchase them at the studio for $19 + tax.
