AFF Moms Box It Out!
Moms Only: Rumble Boxing + Brunch
Moms, this one’s just for you. 💙
Join us for a Saturday morning sweat session at Rumble Boxing (Mount Pleasant), followed by a casual brunch at Steamworks Mount Pleasant. This is a free AFF community event focused on moving your body, releasing some stress, and connecting with other moms who get it — no caregiving roles, no multitasking, just time for yourself.
No boxing experience is needed. Come as you are, go at your own pace, and do what feels right for your body. After class, we’ll head to Steamworks Mount Pleasant to relax, refuel, and connect over brunch (brunch is self-paid).
Glove rentals will be provided for free (regularly $4).
Please note: boxing hand wraps are required for safety. Participants will need to bring their own wraps or purchase them at the studio for $19 + tax.

AFF Goes to the Movies, Again!
AFF Family Movie Day: Super Mario Galaxy Movie – Sensory Friendly Screening
Join us for a special Super Mario Galaxy movie screening. This event is open to friends and family of AFF members.
Our sensory-friendly screening features lower volume and softer lighting to create a comfortable experience for all kids. Children are encouraged to move around freely—there’s no pressure to remain seated throughout the movie.
To support skill-building, discounted concessions will be available for families to practice waiting in line, ordering, and making payments in a low-stress setting.
We’ll provide visual supports to help kiddos understand what to expect during the event, alongside social stories shared ahead of time so parents can prepare their children for the movie experience.
Movement regulation tools such as tents, tunnels, balance beams, and various fidgets will be available throughout the space to help children stay calm and engaged.

AFF Dads go bowling!
Our first 2026 AFF Dads’ Night is happening on Friday, Feb 7th at 6:30 PM! 🎳
We’ll be meeting at Grandview Lanes on Commercial Drive for 1 hour of bowling. Bowling is self-pay, and spots are limited, so please register in advance to confirm your place.
After bowling, anyone who’d like to keep the night going is invited to join us for dinner at B House Restaurant, just a 1-minute walk from the lanes.

This holiday season, Autism Family Friends (AFF) and Watermelon Sessions are teaming up to spread warmth, joy, and community spirit through our Milk & Cookies Toy & Book Drive!
Drop off your new or gently used toys, sensory items, and books early at Watermelon Sessions, or come by on the day of the event to donate while browsing for something new-to-you!
Enjoy a cozy, family-friendly afternoon with a photo zone, sensory-friendly activities for the kiddos, and plenty of opportunities to connect over cookies, treats, and conversation. ✨
All proceeds from the drive will go to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, supporting children and families across B.C. 💛

Hey AFF Moms!
Join us for a relaxed evening in River District, at a clubhouse amenities room — a cozy spot to unwind, connect, and enjoy great company.
Take a break from the daily hustle and spend time with other amazing moms who understand the ups and downs of raising neurodivergent kids.
AFF is covering the room rental, and there’s just a $15 per person contribution to help cover light refreshments and non-alcoholic drinks. Feel free to bring your own beverage, or pick something up from the liquor store conveniently located downstairs.

Autism Family Friends (AFF) invites fathers in our community to join co-hosts Rae and Pete for an afternoon of virtual golf, networking, and refreshments.
Two hours of golf sponsored by AFF
Food and beverages are self‑funded.
This event offers an opportunity to connect with fellow fathers, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.

Join Autism Family Friends for a fun fall outing at the Southlands Heritage Farm Pumpkin Patch! Families will meet at the farm entrance at 9:00 a.m. sharp.

Explore the pumpkin patch — each entry includes one pumpkin
Entry fee: approximately $13 per person (Southlands does not offer group rates on weekends)
Dress warmly and bring muddy buddies, boots, and rain gear

To make the outing easier for families, AFF will provide:
Light refreshments (juice packs, Gnubees, and granola bars)
Fidgets and small toys for the kiddos

Autism Family Friends Fundraiser
Join Autism Family Friends for a fun-filled afternoon at The Cove Indoor Play! We’ll play, laugh, and make memories together while supporting a great cause. This event is a fundraiser to help us continue providing valuable resources and support to families with autistic children.
Funds raised from this event will help us:
Book accessible venues for our events
Cover overhead costs for bookings
Provide partial or full subsidies for family event participation
Partner with experts to organize valuable workshops for our community
Purchase sensory toys and calming tools to support our kids’ emotional well-being
Acquire equipment to better support sensory integration, musical instruments, comfort items, and communication aids
Provide snacks and refreshments for our events, making them more accessible and enjoyable for all
Offer compensation for our volunteers who provide childcare support at events, recognizing their invaluable contribution
Your support will help us continue providing valuable resources and support to families with autistic children.

AFF Potluck Picnic
Join us at Ryall Park this August for a fun-filled afternoon at the splash park and playgrounds with your kiddos! Bring a set of fresh clothes, towels and bathing suit for your kids. We’ve reserved a picnic shelter just for our group, and we’ll be enjoying a potluck feast together. Each family is asked to bring a dish to share, which doesn’t have to be homemade but please ensure it’s allergy-friendly. To avoid duplicates, kindly fill out the form ASAP and let us know what you’ll be bringing. We can’t wait to see you there!
